SNOW MUCH FUN - WINTER WONDERLAND CHALLENGE FOR THE 27th of April, 2018

Well, I have been MIA for a while as work just took up all my time, but hopefully I can get a little time to myself to make some cards. I also just want to do some colouring, which I'll also show here.

Anyway.....Hazel is hosting us this fortnight at Winter Wonderland and the theme that she has chosen is.....
SNOW MUCH FUN!

Please remember that it is Christmas projects only and they must include the theme of snow much fun.

Here is my card:

Here is a close-up of the colouring:

I have digitally printed Head Stand from SheepSki Designs on to X-Press It Blending Card, then I used my Silhouette Cameo to fussy cut out the image.

I started colouring with Distress Ink markers earlier in the week, but I got impatient and annoyed that the water wasn't drying quickly enough not to leave lines - I guess I need to get my heater thing out if I am successfully going to colour watercolours as it is getting cold!
Anyway, I then switched to Copics!

So I have used the following Copics:
  • boots: YG13, G09, G19
  • snowman: 0, C1, C3
  • snowman's nose: YR02, YR09
  • snowman's buttons: C5, 100
  • snowman's arms and legs: E74, E77, E79
  • red of scarf: R24, R27, R29
  • green of scarf: G02, G05, G07
  • sunset background (top to bottom): B93, B91, B00, BG000, Y00, Y11, Y15, Y17, YR16, YR18
  • snow: 0, Y11, B91, B93, clear Wink of Stella
The sunset background came from the fantastic Alyce from Kit and Clowder.

As I have come down with a cold and sinusitis, I am going to keep it very simple! So I have adhered my coloured image to a small square card from Envelope Solutions. Then I have hand written: "Snow much Fun!" on to the card using the brush end of my Memento Dual marker. I also added some black Wink of Stella to the writing and the buttons, eye and mouth of the snowman.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Colour Crazy Challenge Week 17 - Anything Goes Colouring Challenge
Crafty Sentiments Design - Anything Goes
Christmas at Sweet Stampin' April 2018 - Anything Christmas Goes
ABC Christmas Challenge - H is for "Hats" & I is for "Ice"

We are sponsored by Sheepski Designs this fortnight.

Living in Leeds, Yorkshire in the UK, working full time as a Management Accountant, currently working on 2 design teams and an obsessive crafter and creator of cards. I have no actual style as yet but do love the unusual and quirky. I may be known for producing cards in soft pastel colours. I love anything arty. I've always drawn stuff, for as long as I can remember. In my younger days I sold a few watercolour paintings. I recently found mixed media which is a joy and love creating canvases with flowers. I had a battle with digital drawing for about a year and finally found some software I could gel with. January 2016 a challenge team I worked on was short of a designer's images to create with so I drew some. I opened my shop a month later so I could sponsor challenges and give something back to the crafting world, to the lovely ladies who have supported me on my journey. I've a Facebook group SheepSki Designs where I hold challenges, some for fun to win digis as well as my monthly card challenge. I've a SheepSki Designs challenge blog as well. Things are growing slowly (thankfully) so I still manage to spend at least a little time with my hubby. Welcome to my world Andrea xx

Andrea is offering 3 images of your own choice to the random winner.

There is inspiration from the Snowflakes DT over on the Winter Wonderland blog, so please pop over to everyone's blog by clicking on their name. We always appreciate a comment or two! :) You can also find out what other challenges are out there, which could give you some ideas for your card stash.

We all hope that you are able to join us for this challenge. Please remember that it is Christmas Projects only! We look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your gorgeous Christmas creations. 2. Wow, Lou, that rainbow background makes the adorable snowman image look even more fantastic! The colouring of the boots and scarf is so vivid and beautifully shaded. Great idea to offset the piece with the image in order to run the sentiment along the left side. Love it! Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
